the bike is limited by its wheelstanding , its a stupid comparo in a way cause 160 kmh is only first gear on a gix and even if the bike had 300hp itll still only accelrate the same to 160 , with no other mods but an extended swingarm the gix time would be reduced alot

It's not so much designed for high speed work, more cornering. I'm not say it's slow (because it isn't) but it hasn't got the top end punch of a litre bike.

Very good point WINJA. Jack Frosts turbo'ed GSXR1000 is slower than a std K5 to 160km/h. Too hard to find the balance between wheelie/wheelspin and good acceleration.

    RATO unit. $10000
    Brick wall $900
    Skate Board $150

Figures are time to 30mph, 60mph, 100mph, reaction time, braking time

    RATOboard : 1.2 1.70 1.90 0.00 0.0001 = 2.00 s

I guess you'll never be rich and afford some quality in your life, you'll just have to be jealous of those who can afford a Veyron.

And me ?? I just don't care at all.....

ahh i see they didnt include the most likely compettition
It's today's copy (actual physical paper), I read it at work.

The Koenigsegg is good but is supposed to be a biatch to drive, even the Stig (from Top Gear) found it a handful. Jeremy on the other hand drove the Veyron for an entire day pretty much non-stop accross Europe and found it a lovely drive - He wasn't cruising either.

I'm sure a Moto GP bike is much cheaper than the Veyron - they should have tested that too, if they could find an A1 car.

oi!!!! I never said I wanted a sooki... I'd have the zx10 if anything.

Who the hell would want 2.6 mil tied up in a depreciating liability (unless some get crashed - like the mclaren f1). $2.6m would earn a heck of a lot of interest...

To some people that's just loose change, there is no limit to how much money you can have - you're in the wrong job.

I know... I'm a labourer... as I have hopefully just finished uni, I'm looking for an IT job, hopefully something like IT support...

Would this give me this loose change you speak of??

No gremlin it won't. IT ain't that great tbh compared to other easier stuff nowadays (not selling drugs).

Anyway, yes the veyron beat the gixxer... good on it, you'd sorta hope so, rather amazing car etc etc. But remember this... that gixxer will keep doing it day in day out for the next 20,000k's, only stopping for oil and clutches, where as that veyron would have bent conrods and pistons all through the bodywork after a few thousand.

Besides, i'd have more fun in the gixxer anyway. And if you mod a bike it will beat that car blah blah.. always something faster eh..

0 - 200kph in 10 seconds. (Can be done much quicker - like 4 secs).
From 1000ft you could do the acceleration and the stop in 10 secs. Slightly messy though.

For sale: parachute. Used once, small stain. Offers.

$5000 dollar spend on wheeliebars and it would be a closer thing. Hey how about a wheelie bar in front to help it under brakes? Would suck to ride but its start and stop times would be good.

$2,600,000 later and its still just a cage. thats 130 GSXR1000's or 1733333.33333 pies. if working at McD's making $8 in the hand in standard week thats over 156 years of work.

I'd disagree there, the Veyron would piss on a litre bike in top end punch, and piss on from a great height then most prolly turn around and shit on it as well.

The GSXR may only just edge it out upto a shy over 200kph, the Veyron gets off the line extermly fast hence the slightly quicker time, once the GSXR gets into it's stride it does gain a bit, but man over 200kph and the Veyron will haul the GSXR in with an extreme amount of ease, and when the GSXR is struggling past the 280kph mark the Veyron will still have you back in the seat the same it did at 160kph.
But at the end of the day you're talking about a 400kph plus car that you can buy for less than what it cost to make the thing and there isn't much pratical about a quad turbo 16 cylinder car.

    Fcukin cool shit though.
