    BuckBuckNo1 And The Rimutakas 8/7/06

    First Time:

Gidday All, Hmmmm Featherstone and back this afternoon. Enjoyed the ride immensely, as well as a good bowl of soup at the top on the way.

Suppose I can't forget the date now eight, seven, six. Thought about that on the way back, 'Hey Buck what's the date....etc I said to myself.'

Also said out loud "I'll Be Back". Thoroughly enjoyed my first ride over there.

Well done Buck for having a crack at the Rimutaka's.
Beautiful day for a ride over the hill. Sun is shinning. Life is good

Nice one Buck! I didn't manage to get out today and I am feeling the withdrawal symptoms. Definitely will head out tomorrow. And it's looking good for the commute next week as well. Which is good since I have a lecture at 8am before work now that Uni is back....

Watch that the 'Takas aren't closed.

That slip has slipped some more and the Hill is closed tonight.

Not clearing it until tomorrow as it is slipping still.

The Rimutaka Hill Rd will be closed to all traffic tonight as a result of the same slip from this afternoon slipping further. Fulton Hogan advise it is too dangerous to work on the slip tonight and will attend to it in the morning.

    Next Challenge:
Riding with my Mentor tomorrow - getting plenty of feedback from him and practising through to 5000km, with a couple of reviews leading up to sitting for restricted in about 4mths.

Good luck for tomorrow's ride with your mentor.

Look forward to your mentor's write up... and how you felt it all went as well.
