Sounds like a denial of service attack.

Yes, I am awful. Glad to hear you're okay though. If it hit you instead... well, lets not go there.

A window of opportunity, perhaps? Were you blind-sided?

    UPDATE

Bike was written off! $15k to put back to 'new'

The building managers are refusing to accept liabilty, claiming the incident was an 'act of god' Apparently it was 'windy and raining' on that day, well fuck me did I miss that category 6 hurricane or do you think that they are trying it on? Anyway can't speak highly enough of my insurers, AMI who basically told them to fuck off and prove it with weather reports etc.

Anyway, as someone pointed out I seized the 'window' of opportunity and have gone and bought a new one today - let you know what it is later...

I followed this whole thread waiting.... waiting ... for the key sentence.

Act of God. Soon that will be the excuse for knocking riders off their bikes too. ' I saw the hairy son of Satan on his evil steed and.... it was an act of God'... Good Luck but I hate to think what would have happened if you had got your timing wrong. I suspect this may drag on a bit though.

Different incident. The ODT article is about a Toyota Hilux, a 6th floor window, State Insurance and a guy from Dunedin.

It mustn't be negligent to have pieces of your building fall off then according to their insurance company. I never will stop thinking insurance companies are jsut a bunch of thieves.
