    sv650

i'm thinking of buying a SV650 at some stage. Can you make them sound like a TL though? Always wanted a twin, even though my VFR would probably run rings aroung it.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Mine's reasonably loud but the only way to get a bike which sounds like a TL is to buy a TL.

A pipe will give you the sound I know you're looking for Hell, even a VTR250 sounds good on an open pipe, and that's saying something.

Run rings.. But probably not outrun . Have you got a non-standard can on your VFR? They sing like a bird released (Albeit, an odd one) when that stifling can is removed... Maybe you could get your dose of aural pleasure without deigning yourself to the hoi poli..?

I put a localy made Zorst brand can on mine and it sounds great. I also made up a removable baffle in case I have any grief at WOF time in the future. Has a nice rumble at idle and sounds really nice in the midrange too. Higher up it's pretty loud. I have noticed a nice torque increase in the midrange as well which is nice. It won't sound as deep like a TL or other big bore twin but nice anyway. It sounds similar to a Ducati 851 that I used to see around years ago which I like.
