I think the XT660 is made in Italy. It's a global world,KLR650's are or were made in Indonesia.

Belgarda assemble a lot of Yamahas in Italy. That one is definitely Italian made. I've got a write up somewhere. Supposed to be fun bike.

weird, learn something new everyday and all that...
riddle me this then, is this an nc30 or an nc21, look carefully and look past the single sided swing arm.

It's an NC24. I used to have one about 100 years ago.

NC21 had dual sided swing arm.
NC24 had single side swing arm with exhaust on the throttle side.
NC30 had single side swing arm with exhaust on gear change side

It also says NC24 in the auction.

Albeit the SZR is made in Italy, in my book it is still a Japanese bike. Just because a BMW is made in Mexico does that make it a Mexican car?

The description calls it an NC24 as well . Lovely bikes those little V4s! You in the market? A excellent step up from a 250.

Sorry Jim2, wasn't referring to you but the auction claim. 'Italian bike', not like you and Motu pointed out, 'Italian made'.

    Are more importantly:

NC21 = dual sided swingarm and ugly
NC24 = 4 bolt rear wheel and ugly
NC30 = single nut rear wheel and sexy

NC24. 4 bolt rear wheel, exhaust on wheel size, single headlight, spindly frame. Pretty sure the fugly fuel tap makes it a 21/24 as well. All in all, an uncool looking bike.

    yeah for an nc30
he has updated the auction description for it after i asked on the auction, it's pretty rough, I was just interested in knowing what it was, as i didn't know there was something between the nc21 and nc30

NC24=Rev limiter in top half way down back straight on standard gearing at Manfield and RD350 riders going, "WTF?" at Clubmans meetings.
