He just about wet his pants when he was confronted by four big Harley riding types and took off running, no harm done. Of course if this happened now I'd have to think seriously about locking the idiot up for Unlawful Interference.
    Interesting sig' spud.
Been watch'in a bit much TV huh.

Pity about that kid.Lots of my mates have young'ins.
The hot bits are the first bits they get shown.

Wouldn't this be the shop with the signs everywhere saying, "Don't sit on the bikes"?

Undortunately there's a class of parent that thinks their kids should (a) be allowed to run amok and (b) they should never come to any harm as a result. Those would be the parents who see nothing wrong with their kid poking a dog with a stick, but demand it be put down if the kid gets bitten...

I wasn't aware that it had been used on TV until wkid mentioned it was used on Law and Order. Its just one of many "one liners" which makes me laugh especially given some of the topics discussed on this forum. I'll get rid of it if plagerism is frowned upon.

I work @ Bike Direct, the amount of times we have had whole rows of bike pushed over is ridicules. Parents think is OK to go off shopping and let the kids come into out shop unsupervised . It's hard enough to keep customers under control with out bloody kids screaming around the floor on bikes crashing into things (They are worse than drunks on bikes ). I just try and give the kids an evil look till they leave . Haven’t had heart to tell the parents what I think of them (Probably loose my job at the same time), It’s mostly the Parents fault. God we are not a darn baby sitter. One day a bike is going to fall on a kid and may have some nasty consequences, and who would get the blame.. I know the shop would. As for osh I wouldn’t them as far as I could kick them....

As for the kid being burnt I say good job... The parents might not have learnt a lesson but the kid would have. Just a shame the kid was basically forced into the situation etc..

Yip my mate jumpd on my old bike when i wasn't looking and managed to crash it into his next door neighous car. But the a good way to get past all the legalities of it is to do what i saw a harley guy had done. On the shiney cromed battery case was a small sign that said "if you value your life as much as i value my bike, DON'T fuck with it"

I didn't claim on it. Lot's of little scratches I decided I could live with. The clutch lever cost just on $200 so that was the only expense out of it. I was pretty f**ked off for the rest of the day thou. My wife stayed well clear of me until later that day.

I had a real nasty, pulled away from college years ago and luckily only got a few yards(yard=a bit over a metre I think) before it being obvious something was very wrong, some bastard had taken the split-pin out of my rear-wheel nut and slackened off the adjusters.Pretty sure who it was, kind of a gang thing going down.Best story i`ve heard recently was about a guy I know, real hard rep locally, some drunk was annoying him while he sat on his bike talking to a mate, idiot grabbed the throttle and revved the nuts off it so he head-butted the guy, lost his balance and several hundred kilos of badass biker and Kawasaki Drifter flattened the poor bugger.Rider`s an ex-Foreign Legion psycho so the other guy`d better have left town by now.

Your full of information arent ya JR. Yea i must be lucky cus at college noone sat on my bike except if they asked me so everyone there was real good bout it cus anyone could have where it was parked. The same with uni noone even bothers they jus keep going and dont touch it. I dont mind if someone asks me first if they can sit on it. I've seen some asian get on to WTs bike out front of the shop when i went to meet up with them for a ride on a thursday a while ago so i said do you own that and he got the message and hoped off.

...Anyone else had their ride parked in town, and come back to find some wanker couldn't keep their hands to themselves?
Although no one has ever stuffed up my bike, I was responsible once for adjusting a car. I had a mini in my earlier days and I popped into a shop, ran back to the car, unlocked the door, adjusted the seat - for some reason it was too close to the pedals, looked in the rear vision mirror and fixed that - thought something was strange and had a look around the car - it wasn't mine. My mini was about three cars back along the street.

This sort of thing really pisses me off, it's amazing how many people think it's ok to touch a bike parked up, I think it should be legal to electrify them whilst parked up a nice 7500 volt electric fence unit would be great for the purpose, it's just a shame the bike electrics wouldn't cope I've often thought about how to fix car and bike fiddlers, and I like the electric shock thing best!

Well! I've just discovered today that my bike ignition has been tampered with over the w/e!! I was away & I chain it up. My flatmate has used it but also chained it up. It has already been stolen once (before I owned it) and I'm guessing someone was trying to steal it again! I can see marks from a screw driver (I guess) where they have tried to pop the ignition out and the little bit where you slot the key in doesn't slip into place when I take the key out! Now I'm a bit worried that it will only be a matter of thime before they come back & do steal it!
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

Yep, bikes and hot rods, the public think they are in a car yard at hot rod shows unless the officials are alert, man where do these guy that ef with your scoot or rod think they come from? most of those types never owned anything worthwhile but seem to think it's ok to meddle with somebody elses pride'n'joy(or so it seems to me)
