Arrow Who had gotten off their bike on the Newton off-ramp this morning...

...and was yelling at the cager who had just cut across 3 lanes in one maneuver without signalling and had missed his front wheel by inches?

    Oh yeah, it was me.

Closest I have EVER come to being a few months late for work and it shook me up quite a bit. When he first did it, I passed him and gave him the universal peace sign but he stared blankly at me so I felt it necessary to take him to task for it. Saw he was going off at Newton, so went up the ramp ahead of him and he pulled up behind me at the line waiting for the lights. Got off the bike and stalked to the drivers door and his face started to go a paler shade. Knocked on the door and he opened it just enough for my fullisade to assault his senses amid his cries "Sorry man, I didn't see you". "Tell it to my little girls when they're scraping me off the road" was my reply, and the tirade continued. Won't go intot the details, but it lasted long enough for the lights to go through a green phase and the other cagers behind him were getting p-o'd.

Had to pull in to Colemans for a perve at the Brutales and a bitch to Sarge while I calmed down and waited for the shaking to stop.

And who said Americans weren't sympathetic? Thanks for the ear Sarge.

Shit, I hope you didn't give Sarge any details, man. That driver may have already disappeared!

Make that the last time you get angry on a bike mate. They aren't worth it and they won't change. Just remember; they are being dick, so there's no point making yourself one. Make it a big mental plus point to avoid them and continue on without a response. You'll live longer.

I think it was the shock more than anger that made me do it. As I said, I stopped off just round the corner as I didn't feel right in going on to work in that state.

I'll keep it in mind though Jim. Just yell at the dick the carry on as normal next time I think.

Good stuff. If you didn't do anything, he'd just be oblivious to what he'd done. He still may not care much, but equally, he just might be more careful in future.

Good for you man! I heartily agree with giving dumbass drivers an earful, just be careful they dont decide to take it further, that can get messy. But if you are that upset by the actions then it must be something out of the ordinary, let them know is all good IMO. Be prepared for the next step though, natural human reaction is fight or flight, either one could damage you. Be careful and give yourself some kudos for this one.

    Good onya mate!
These f*ckers need a wake up call before they kill someone. The amount of tossers who veer across 3 lanes of traffic to take the off-ramp is scary.

You guys want to get into a pissing contest with two tonnes of metal, don't do it round me.

I got knocked off my bike in Greytown in 1990 by some gang members who were pissed off at being carved up by squids. They knocked me off on the off chance that I may have had something to do with the squids.

You guys need to work out what is a winning proposition and what is a losing proposition. Death is kind of permanent.

What happens when car drivers also get guns? You'd think it'd be easier for a car passenger to hit a bike that a biker hit a car driver?

Well done Krayy - just having a word probably drove it home which is good. Cage drivers are less attentive for all sorts of reasons but before we all get too self-righteous about it, how many of us have screwed up in a cage? I did it about 2 weeks ago driving with my wife to a local restaurant. I was busy chatting to Mrs. B and a bit distracted as I entered a roundabout. It has a bit of foliage on it and needs attention which I didn't give it nearly enough of. Consequently, I entered the roundabout and had a moderately close call with something coming right round from my right. I'm still beating myself up about it.
