    Photoshop Gurus

    Hey guys and girls.

I want to take an image of my bike and mess around with the colours. Im considering getting my bike painted and am curious about what colour to paint it.

Ive seen Buggy do this before, may you have too and want to tell me how (if not too difficult).

Trick is Im using Corel Photopaint. If you use generic terms Im sure Ill work it out.

    Cheers. Green for relevant advice.

Corel Photopaint. Never used it. Got a Hue/Saturation adjustment? That's a start but I use various methods depending on the colour it is and the colour wanted.

It's black now so it'll depend on the lighting as to what works.

Just worked out how to make a Red 999 Rizla light blue, but cant make my black tank a different colour using the hue/sat controls. Basically editing my profile pic at the mo. Could find a blue model of bike on the net.

That'll be a good idea in this case. Too much black in the original so without masking etc it's too hard a job. Do you know how to make layer masks in Corel?

'Flatten' the colour of the areas you want to change first. That way when you add the contrast of colour vs shadow it won't look so 'shiny'. You can multiply a layer of flat colour over the areas as well. Black is a hard colour to start from I reckon.
