Nah it would be sinful for me to get my hands on something so beautiful. That's got to be the best TL in the country and as much as I'd love to own it, I'd kill myself if I ever put a scratch on it.

And I think he would sell his missus before he sold that bike.

One bike I have always been fascinated with, but never had a go on (DMANIT KJSHJK!!iusyf&^%$) is the Honda VTR SP1/2 . More expensive than perhaps you are looking at. But it sure *looks* hard core, and is just tiny in the metal. Makes the TLs and the SVs look huge and tractor like.

but TLs make sp1's look over priced and they are just as fast....all though I do like the swingarm on the sp1/2

this is just m opinion but:

TL1000s - OK, needs good pipes. Looks chunky
TL1000r - Better, but steering dampers are a must
    SV1000 - Cheap, new alternative
z1000 - Yes x 20 if you like motorcross bikes. They are fantastic
Hayabusa - Yes if you like speed and nothing else
Reactor Online. Sensors Online. Weapons Online. All Systems Nominal.

Well, yes, they are not made out of lead/pig iron/poo. The titanium engine cases and the composite cylinder bores probably were not cheap at the time. Or now.

Funny you mention the swingarm. It was the major external difference between SP1 and the SP2. You probably like the SP2 swingarm.

Quite right, they are more expensive than the 'zooks, but then they are cheaper than the eqivalent Ducati.

I am sure it comes as no suprise to you; I am still a Honda ninny. And the GSXR is out in the rain right now while the Honda is in the shed. Just thought you should know.

I've got a GS1200ss in the shed right now, overnight test ride... impressions:
Power - has nothing surprisingly my old RF will kick its head in, a little torque but it dont excite , pretty smooth
Handling - Like a twin shocker from the late 80's, the tube frame flexes if you get too rough with it, breaks are good but have poor road feel (soft shocks)
Comfort - Seats too low, bike feels cramped and I can only just fit in the gap between the pillion seat and the tank
    Price - 2002, 6k thats pretty good

Bikes not for me but I'll have another ride in the morning to be sure, price is right but the ride is wrong.

EMAN... at 135kg an R6 will quickly turn into a slow & low (flat) ride...
