Handling - Like a twin shocker from the late 80's, the tube frame flexes if you get too rough with it, breaks are good but have poor road feel (soft shocks)
Comfort - Seats too low, bike feels cramped and I can only just fit in the gap between the pillion seat and the tank
    Price - 2002, 6k thats pretty good

Bikes not for me but I'll have another ride in the morning to be sure, price is right but the ride is wrong.

EMAN... at 135kg an R6 will quickly turn into a slow & low (flat) ride...
find a TLs bro....I bet ya will buy it after a lap of the block!!!

Thank god you're not going with the GS, I would've had to disown you as a friend. They're the ugliest abortion I've ever seen and I have no idea what the fuck Suzuki were thinking when they came up with that heap of shit. And it's not just the looks, the whole bike is a pile of festering crap. $6K is far too much for something I wouldn't swap the 250 for.

got to agree with that..two totally different bikes, get on an R after an S and the thing feels huge..plus they look like the rider has a Platypus stickin out his arse with that huge rear end on them.

enjoy...be interested to see what you think...get it outta town and give it shit...if its got a stock damper on it steering will be abit of a pain in the arse as its feels quite heavy....once on the open road you will forget about it.

    tl1000s

I took it on some twisties and on the open road... verdict?

7000 rpm... thats the magic number, power wheelies suprised me it did... I was under the impression twins had shit top end, but I was wrong.

Dampeners OK... handles wiked like!, will replace anyway DP got me covered there.

The hell fun bike for real... Cowpoos my fortune tella

It's in my carport... stripped down for cleaning, old graphics are gone and I'll make new graphics and put them on in the morning... black and chome I think "FLAMES!"

Cost $7500, December 1998, Black, two brothers, K&N, hump & pillion, pack rack (no it's not on), metz

    Cheers for the offer Saul

Yeah I was impressed with Vtwin top end too being a 4 fan for years, though the SV kick in sooner it also goes flat sooner at about 10k rpm.

    enjoy!

fuckin awesome bro...you can't say we didn't tell ya!!

now buy this off me http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...px?id=62926460 ......do a google search to find pics...

but anyway...I also have a mounting kit for a ohlins steering damper for a TLs...same style as 916 mount...all you need is the steering damper...the kit costs $200 you or someone can hav it if ya buy me fender eliminater thingy [as long as its a KB member]

another thing ya wanna look at is a ohlins rear shock...replaces the rotary damper... ring Robert taylor on o6 2784160 and just have a chat with him about it...he's sold shit loads of shocks to TL owners...its there biggest fault...and so easy to fix....but most of all enjoy!!!
