    Old Kawasaki parts

I need two carb needles, part number "16009-1293"

Problem is they are too old and cant come from japan (according to spectrum)

Does anyone know anyone who deals with old kawa parts? Do any of you dealers have a couple sitting on the self?

    Any help would be awesome.

    Many Thanks

    Cool

There is a 'sticky thread' somewhere titled "Bike wreckers List"

It was under General Ravings but since the reshuffle of KB, the mods may have moved the thread.

So if you can find that thread, there is a list of Bike wreckers around NZ.

Good luck in finding the part you are looking for.

Joys of an older bike. struck the same thing with my ZXR, either not produced any more, if not they charge like wounded bulls for parts.

Sugilite posted this outfit up a while back they may have the bits your after, pretty impressive range of goodies

What brand of Carb are they? you might be able to buy it as a "carb part" (eg Mikuni) rather than a Kawasaki part

    try www.sudco.com
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough power."

    Have you tried eBay

I bought all the parts needed to rebuild my 79 Z1300 from eBay, just remember if you do a search that the models are different for the US market. The Z1300 is a KZ1300 over there.
One thing I purchased was a brand new, boxed, Dynojet kit for the carbs, which included the new jets and needles, that one cost me US$95 but its a full kit for 3 twin choke carbs. Postage isnt much for lightweight items and often arrives within 3-5 days.

Try here for a dynojet kit. Your model is ZX1000R in the us.
    http://www.monkeybuttparts.com/pk4/store.pl?section=460

Price is US $101.99 + freight.

Remember that google is your friend and a credit card is all you need. Fire them off an e-mail and see what they say.

    I know mine's called the ZX1000B2.
