    Side case coatings

As some of you may know, about a month ago my GB400 had a severe hemorgaing of the engine variety. I decided to do up the whole bike, everything looks great so far.

I have painted the barrels and head gloss black and exposed the edges of the fins, looks sweet.

My problem is i cant find a silver to do the side cases and base of the motoe with, if i have to i will paint the base black, but the cases really need to be silver. I have ruled out pollishing the cases, i dont have the gear to polish anything that detailed.

As with all jap bikes of that era, the cases were painted with the factory silver laquer thats now peeling and looking hideous! What can i paint them with? You cant get a gloss or metalic silver engine enamel.

Help me! Any ideas? Know anyone that does this sort of thing?
There is no dark side of the moon, really, as a matter of fact. Its all dark...

    You could try HPC coatings.
Or paint them as per normal then spray with resin to protect from stones etc.

Honda used to sell aerosol cans of frame and case paints. Ask your local dealer if they still do.
HPC would be the ultimate finish, both in quality and cost...
