In that case you probably wont get too much info from the Gixxer riders on here. They only seem to clock up a few kms, then they are back to the shop to get a new one after they have sent it down the road without them.

Ain't that the truth One of my (occasional) riding partners has racked up just 16000km since new on his K2 and has just bought a K6. Willy-waving at its best, haha.

Dude, the best way to decide is to ride them.

Asking on these forums is only going to lead to you receiving one sided Neanderthal replies fuel by pure blinkered opinions. Having sold almost every type of bike, I think the best way is judging it on looks and how ya feel on the bike, if its a Honda that ya like the feel of the cool same goes to Suzukis or Yammies.

Just trust the voice in ya head, it knows what ya want....

That just might have to be next Saturday's mission. A day of test rides! Might take a ride to Takapuna, hit all of them in one shot.

    HOW EXCITING!

Mate - take 'em all for a blast - see if one stands out from the other - see if there is a reason you should NOT buy it (i.e. known faults/problems) and do it

Guess that was the whole point of this thread, see if people would tell me about bad experiences with their rides, help me avoid a bad decision.

    Might have been too hopefull.

I had a bad experience with my gixxer.

I was beaten by a honda.

I don't think it was the bikes fault though.

Well, I went down to visit Mr Poo's and give the Welly Softcore the learn.

But that Deano is pretty fast for a geriatric on a honda.

The cred? Urr almost all of my non-bikey mates know what a 'ninja' is, they also usually know Hayabusa. That's about it. Noone knows a gsxxxxrrr is. They just laugh and see suzuki. Kawasaki on the other hand, is always fast. If you have a kwak it goes fast. According to them. Pretty true anyway
Infact alot of people know someone with a ninja or ask 'is that a ninja' etc. Great marketing by Kawasaki as far as I'm concerned.
But of course I have educated my friends about ghostrider, gsx-rs', r1's and turbo busas.

    EDIT: HONDAS ARE FOR FAGS.

How do you know? Are you finding yourself strangely attracted to honda riders N4CR?
