When drivers of commercial vehicles do dumb or dangerous shit, I do not hesitate to contact the GM of the company concerned and suggest to him that he may like to remind his drivers that when they are driving a vehicle sign-written with the compamy name, then they are flying the company flag, and that their behaviour on the road is dragging the flag into the mire. (shit, that's a long sentence!) I also tell them that if I were looking for a company in their line of business to deal with, that they are off the list of potentials. Simple fact is that a lot of people go loose in company vehicles, and if the boss isn't told, it isn't going to stop.

I have sent the company an email with the rego # of the vehicle and details of what happened along with a bit of a lecture.

I suspect the guy who was driving may have been the boss, as he looked mid to late 30's, and was obviously under a bit of stress to get road rage to the extent of locking up when I was behind him 'cos I was giving him the bird!
(this was after he passed me so close he smacked my mirror )

Getting angry will get you killed eventually. It is really important to stay on top of your situational awareness and being angry tends to give you a narrow focus.

Anger uses up mental processing power so lose the anger ASAP and concetrate instead on getting away from the psychotic loser as fast as possible (NB Not advocating speeding here )

Hang loose, and don't even waste the energy counting to 10 because while you're doing that there is another hazard to avoid.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Hows about turning right out of buckley rd, the guy behind decides not to be behind, is turning right and inches forward next to me. literally next to me. Lets me go turn right first though, how nice of him. Unfortunately it made me slower to turn as I had to be sure that he wasnt turing outside of me, as I turn left immediately after. Wish I had boot studs or something, he had some nice shiny mags. But what do you do? you are more vulnerable if he decides to get nasty.....

Ring the company and speak to the boss. Give him the rego, time, date and place and explain how pissed off you are. Company managers generally do not take kindly to their employees driving like f**k sticks in the company cars.

dude get ya story straight--he tailgated ya then pulled across on ya .
in reaction you put ya foot up to fend off the swerving ute.
But seriously mate it really is a case of such is the life of a bike rider.
As Ive said before you do need to think it through and figure out what if anything you could do to avoid the situation
. Keep in mind that forcing your "right' to be on the road could make you the most correct person in the cemetry or hospital.
It just aint worth stressin over.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

So think carefully about it, maybe you can just put it down as experience.
They are hurting already from the actions of a mindless idiot as we are all talking about it now right!!
The damage to the door happened when the ute driver hit him. (nudge, wink)

Yup, you are so right Jim. I realised that yesterday I needed to cool down b/c I was getting really angry & it was affecting my riding. Normally I just shake my head and laugh...I must have had chocolate deprivation.
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

You want a real adventure? Try 3:00 - 3:45 around any of the school areas, especially the private schools. Most dangerous time to be out and about. Apparently picking little precious up is more important than the lives of other road users...
