How far to protect the image?

How far is too far to go to protect the image of bikers?

I binned my bike on Saturday (not badly) as a result of a dumb fuck attempt at passing a truck in the wrong place.

I felt really bad for the Trucky, can only image what was going through his mind, poor bugger, as he saw my ass try and pass him, then get airborne.

So, I tracked him down on Monday, spoke to him and appologised for being a prat.

I didn't want him to think all bikers are dicks cause I fucked up, is that too far to go?

Nah. You got bugger balls than 99% of all cagers out there. How many dumbf*ck things do they do? Takes courage to admit you were wrong.

The trucky was quite cool about it, said he was glad I was ok and so on....

I offered to by him some beers to make it up to him, he told me to flag it....saying, don't go there, just concentrate on keeping the tyres on the road, and think a little harder when trying to overtake.

Fare call, thought he might do his nanna, kind of wish he did....kind of!

And he did stop, the others went and told him I was ok, but I was more concerned with getting my bike off the fence and out of the ditch.

I guess each to their own. I will put up my hand when I f#$k up, and I'll learn from it and try and move on.

If we keep saying sorry...we'll lose our bad biker image hahahaha.

Unfortunately it isn't the cagers image that need protecting, it is the cagers that have no respect for us, and put our acc levies up.

so one would assume it is not beyond the call......

Both to accept when you are wrong......or......point out when someone else is....

I ask those that bag cagers, to their face, would you make aa point of saying sorry if you were at fault???????
