Is it real carbon fibre? I just can't believe it's that cheap but I suppose you are cutting out the middle man if you are making these yourself or are you importing from china etc. Also can you get but plugg things those restrictors that make it temporarily quieter when you put them in...

They are real carbon fibre !!! I couldn't believe the price either when our produst buyer told me we will be retailing them at 350incl gst each so you guys get a good deal at 270 they dont have any silencers available for them but with the design they aren't hugely loud like some of the after market cans out there they are a tolerable loud the internal design helps to keep them at a reasonable tone without restriction on performance

The expense in carbon fibre is in the manufacturing, it's labour intensive. I'm guessing they've got a machine to make up tubing, which eliminates the labour cost, which makes it pretty darn cheap.

About 10 years ago, Racelines here in Chch was making carbon fibre mufflers for $300 each.

To be honest, I only ever saw one, and that was on a mates CBR250RR. He used to cane crap out it (too damn noisy), and it was still there two years later. Having said that, they looked like they'd blow apart if put on the back of something a little less gutless

Thye used to come loose around the rivets on the end caps, this was on Ducati twins, maybe the 4 cyl weren't as hard on them

What was with applying the resin on the inside and not the outside? Only time I've ever seen it like that. Yeah, twins have a reputation for eating carbon cans

Fitted ine to a '01 GSXR600 K1 yesterday sounds really good not too loud just a deeper note and well within new noise regulations so if your after something loud these probably aren't the cans for you but if you want contrlloable noise then I would definately reccomend the tone of our Carbon cans
