Ah Hum - Found the kill switch

Being the newbie, there I was this morning riding down Fergusson Drive, flexing my right thumb a little and the bike just died. I move off to the side of the road and first thought was 'I got plenty of petrol', then I try to start the bike - nothing, nadda, zip, staff all, - I look at the little red switch......

    Buck fesses up - duh.

    Bwahahahaha!

That sort of thing is a little like masturbation - everyone does it, although most wouldn't admit to it.

Somewhat like the sidestand kill switch, which kills the engine if it's put into gear with the sidestand down. Noticing that the sidestand is down after umpteen start attempts can be embarrassing too (or so I'm told).....

Been there done that. Ever tried starting the bike on a cold winters morning and forgotten that it has a manual choke? I've been using the car too much methinks.

About 10 years ago when I rocked up to the forecourt of the gas station I worked at on my RGV, 6:30am in the morning to take over the night shift, rolled into the forcourt & stopped. But forgot to put my feet or side stand down. Pinned under the bike!.... Might of helped of I wasn't still pissed from the night before.
