Nice bike Leong...shame about the ..... enforced pedestrian requirements.......
Guess there are compensations in not riding in NZ - like the run down the Toodyay road to work in the morning and the same back home at night - have seen 1 cop in 3 months

All this talk about SH16 has got me going. Haven't been on it for a while so have organised a ride this Sat 22nd.

Meet at Shell Westgate 9:00am sharp. If you've got slicks, put em on. If you've got a plate, take it off. This will be one of my medium paced rides so make sure your bike can average 220 kph. We'll stop off at Cowcop for a quick drinking game and the longest wheelie outta the pub gets an ounce. We'll then up the pace a bit to Wellsford where we'll have a liquid lunch and then demonstrate our stunt skills to the locals on the main road.

Ride safe and remember to look out for children.

If it was just after 3:00 and you were the bikes that gave me a funny look when I flashed you as I approached in the car....Ha Ha

I see bugger all cops on 16,but then I use it during the week, not when the weekend tax period is on.

Btw you must have got pinged near my house.

Bet you thought about doing a runner though eh? ;-)
Lucky you (???) It's all relative I guess. Yes, lots of bikers waved - I was pretending to be using the phone despite there being minimal coverage in the area!! Welcome to the site, been here for a while so nice to see your first post!

No, never thought about it for a second..... more like "who me??"" ( that might have been the worst part )

Yep that would have been us... One too many car to pass though!!

Local knowledge would certainly help, but distractions at the wrong time ie overtaking don't. Also if that car wasn't there I would have seen the brake lights of the bike ahead. All just unfortunate circumstances really. I have a V1 in the car.... will have to hardwire it into the bike, as well keep to slower roads for the next couple of YEARS!!

I had a choice of two rides yesterday, Kaiaua/Hunua with just the two(or three) of us, or with the others up 16.... Chose the wrong one eh??

I'll be on your ride Finn and I'll leave the plate at home.

Are we getting liquored up at your place or mine beforehand?? I've got some P we can smoke, I've even adapted a special helmet so I can smoke P at 220km/h. You should hear the induction roar of my P pipe.

Let's meet at PT Erin for a few drinks first. Mate, you know I can't take P. It reacts with my ADHD meds and makes me act irrationally. Last time I was on that shit I bought the CBR. I'll stick to coke thanks.

Boomers in, so is Speedie. We're gonna do a speed run down the southern tonight to test our new set ups. You in? We're meeting 10pm at Tahoma Rd offramp.

Looks like you'll just have to pay the tickets Finn.
    Speed doesn't kill people.
    Stupidity kills people.
