Glad to know that the mentor system is working for you. Mstrs was/is my unofficial mentor. I have learned heaps - but still so much to learn. He is standing here saying "... is a complete bastard who pushes me beyond my comfort limits.. but, it works". Couldn't have put it better myself!

The Mrs and I had a mentor session with Uncle B this afternoon.

What a great session. In a short space of time learnt plenty of little hints and tips and our riding is already better

We will be out practicing the words of wisdom over the next few weeks and are looking forward to the next session..

Cheers Uncle B, you are a great teacher.

about the mentor thing, i applied to the 'newbie' thingy a while back.. it hasn't been 'ticked off' as an ok, and I haven't been assigned a mentor.. I've just gone from a commuter style bike to a sprotbike, so please, I need a mentor, cause the leaning angles, corner speeds etc are too much for my mind to grasp properly, and my speeds have slowed down dramatically, so yeah.. thanks..

Getting the right advice from the right people is important......luckily there are many good people on KB to help you.
Look here http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/mentors.php? and contact a mentor to help you.

Thanks Mr & Mrs Kendog for a great day of riding and learning. And thanks BuckBuck for your positive feedback.

Well, I'm getting my bike fixed tomorrow (carb tuning, clutch plates), so yeah, would be great to get some tips from the 'Great provider of leather'

Its been changed for the better, now you as the newbie go to the mentors and ask for assistance. we are upgrading the requirements to be a mentor also and will be doing this soon, for now choose a mentor who suits and organise it with them.
Like I say Im happy to help you out, training once a week im thinking for a few weeks to see how you go
