    had read on another web site S is for 1/2 fairing R for full fairing.

    AX? What the?

    A = Two stroke - yup.
    X = unknown surface. Cool. It'll go anywhere.

    Suzuki seemed to keep to the letter designations for the mainstream models, then hit the Sake for the rest.

    For my lump: GSX1100EFG
    G Road bike
    S 4 stroke
    X 4 valve
    1100 (except it is 1135)
    E Originally to designate alloy wheel model
    F Full fairing (S for half fairing)
    G Year of manufacture (1986)
