I am surprised that more of you do not have a Britten on your walls. I had a Britten poster signed by John but my son took it.

Some years ago I visited the Auckland Easter show. I naturally headed for the Britten stall. I purchased my poster and was about to leave when John came in. He was surrounded by adoring young things. He looked over them and saw me, an old bugger, standing there with one of his posters under his arm. He elbowed his way through to me and started asking me things, not telling me things, he appeared genuinely interested IN ME.

I fell completly under the spell of his amazing carisma. I call it my Jesus experience, if he had said "Leave averything follow me and use your skills as a toolmaker in my establishment" I would have gone with him.

Not only his bike but his picture should be on my wall.

I must pressure my son to give it back.

Yeah I was at the easter show in 95 and went straight to the britten stand and spent almost an hour looking at the bike...Got a poster signed by John and Stroudy which is safely under bed away from those nasty UV rays... am going to get it laminated again so signatures dont come off
