    I was looking at getting one but i was talked out of by people telling me that the NZ Police still use RADAR Guns rather than LASER Guns.
    They do still use both but at least with a detector you get a warning about radar...it may not be enough warning to save you from a ticket all together but you should be able to shave a fair bit of speed off before the police lock you on.
