Wow, those are the same figures for my 600.

Come to think of it, the 400 used the same fuel.... I think I am on to something.
All CBR's use petrol at the same rate, it is only the speed that varies.

How much fuel does a Blade use?

My 929 uses about that much on a hard road ride...so it would be a bit more on the track...thirsty bastard of a thing, but then it has got a full system.

Should be a Honda part number for that...

Update: I just had a quick check over the bike outisde a restaurant just now...it really does run ultra mint, smooth throughout the rev range...no shit in the exhaust...no smell of fuel...and he swears that he's putting about 10L in for 130kms of city riding...so I'm stumped...

We're gonna take it in to Red Baron on Saturday.

Maybe he's just not used to prices and thinks it's still a dollar a litre. I would believe $10 per 130km with prices being $1.75. Sorry can't help you any more. If it's not stinking of fuel, then it's not leaking. And if it's running smoothly, chances are it's not going out the exhaust... so where the hell is it going?

haha, that thought went through my head, but I confirmed with him that it's 10L.

Time to take it to the place it was bought from...RB are pretty good about this kinda stuff post-purchase, even if they think it sounds like BS, they'll still check it out. When I said the 6R I'd bought from them just felt gutless, they offered to stick it on the dyno to ease my concerns.

    Just wondering??

How many K's has this one done?

Is it making good power? I'm wondering if the engine is a bit tired.

    Hey.

It's done about 17k I think. Power seems good, but I haven't ridden many 250s lately, so can't say for sure.

I'd say the spark plug test only works if you start it cold, give it gas in neutral and then stop it. If you run it for too long, the spark plugs will reach their self cleaning temperature and give you a "good" reading. Dark is rich, light brown is good and white is lean.

Thanks for that. I always suspected all those GP bike tuners were full of shit.
