    A sad day for you.

When I was trained as a country school bus driver I had to learn a pattern of reaction to an animal on the road it was:-
"I am going to hit this beast, is there any safe way I can avoid it"
Up to sixty children were not to be put at risk for any animal, and there were many on the back country roads in those days.

I still keep this trained reaction in mind when riding or driving.

A well known saying is "If you have a choice between collecting a pig and a hitting a bank always choose the bank it will be softer."

Bugger. Still glad you were able to walk away. People are harder to replace than bikes
