yea i sometimes dab em down for a second if im on a slow bit of road thats straight. 1. you get to no how grippy the damn shoes are and 2. it can stretch ya legs for a few seconds if goin for a long ride.
Those who dont learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.

My ears are burning. Stop it, you big meanies.
And I do have a hard time keeping a straight face when the tassels and chaps types come in.
But you do have to have gear to match the saddlebags, don't you.

Considering the number of people getting their nuts in a bunch about having their bikes interefered with in another thread, I find the cavalier attitude about dinging other peoples' cars kind of dissapointing. And you wonder why cagers have no time for bikes...

    Excuse me?
Firstly, I didn't contribute any whingeing to the thread about bikes being interefered with, and secondly, I didn't ding anyone's car.
I knocked (quite gently, I was doing MUCH LESS than walking speed) the mirror of the Volvo with my mirror, probably not even hard enough to knock it out of alignment.
I wasn't amused at the fact that I'd damaged someone's car and they were powerless to do anything about it, I was amused by the woman's excited and impotent banging on her window. What message she was trying to convey, I have absolutely no idea.
"Hey - get away from my car!"?
"You are naughty riding past this traffic jam!"?
"Help me - I'm trapped in this car and can't get out!"?
"You look like a big handsome biker - come and have sex with me in my boring box of a car."?

It certainly wasn't, "You have dinged my car! Do not ride away from me, displaying a cavalier attitude to my property, you bounder!"
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

As he rode off from the Give Way, I noticed that he dragged his feet for 10 or 15 feet, THEN he put one down on the corner (doing all of 20km/h) and then dragged them 20 feet into the traffic lights. When the light turned green, he kept one foot just off the road half way down London Street.

If you are this person - GET SOME TRAINING!!! IF YOU CAN'T BALANCE A BIKE WITH A SEAT THAT LOW YOU ARE GOING TO DIE! This is of no consequence to me personally, other than the fact that dorks like you increase the ACC levies and support the public opinion that bikes are dangerous.

As far as I could see you were wearing $1500 worth of gear, much of that spent protecting a head that obviously has NO clue...spend some on rider training.

/rant over - normally servce resumed.
everyone has their own style of riding, its when its a danger to other motorists that I get wild...too many other things in life to be worried about
