Not a good day up Rimutaka Hill

Dad, my brother and I were coming back from dirt riding. We were approaching the summit from the Featherston side and all of a sudden Dad stops the car. A dude on a previously brand new looking ZX636R was in the middle of the road behind a blind corner. Luckily Dad is such a boringly slow driver otherwise we may have run him over. We parked up and Dad ran over to him. He was standing and he was in one piece but he was a bit disorientated. He tried to start the bike in the middle of the road still behind the blind corner, open for a flying 4x4 attack. Dad helped him over to the parking bay and the flooded bike eventually started. He rode of back toward Upper Hutt with the muffler smoking, fairings and engine case scratched and rear fender crooked.

Then at the bottom of the hill after the twisties I see a Grey GSX250 scratched and muddied up by the side of the road. My brother also noticed an ambulance and a police car at the Kaitoke gardens. Since a friend of mine has a bike exactly like that, I texted him asking 'Dude, saw a GSX at the side of the road, was it you?'. No reply. Surprisingly I got a phone call from his mum saying yes it was him, he's in hospital and may need surgery, and otherwise he's fine. The poor bastard had only just recovered from breaking his hip a few months back. I haven't got many more details than that, don't know what surgery he needs done, here's hoping for the best.

What was the road conditions like up there, we went for a scoot around the back of Palmerston North and had a few showers that left the road a little slippery

It wasn't me on the ZX6.
Alarumba- what colour ZX6? Jimbo and I were up there late this arvo and someone we know was there on a silver/titanium 636. Said hi to someone on a new looking green one as well at the summit. Lots of em about today.
Another friend I saw was out on his black 636, just like mine but I've called him to check.
No good at all. I saw the grey Suz GSX at the side of the road and stopped to check. Just the bike sitting there waiting to be collected. Get well whoever you are.

Nope. Perfect conditions (except for a minor slip on the Upper Hutt side)

Titanium. I didn't catch the guys name as Dad wanted me and my brother to stay in the car being on a busy road and all, fair enough I guess.
