    New License and New Bike!!

Finally after 3 and a bit months of fast tracking my license from my learners to my full I sat the big test on a beautiful Wellington morning.

I was riding extremely cautiously, never touching the speed limit, and stopping everywhere, indicating and just being super super safe.

That resulted in a big pass, the testers only concern was my low speed in a 70 area, but that was me just being too cautious (I couldn't remember what zone I was in).

So after that, headed straight down to Motorad on Vivian St to trade in little poot for big poot. Paperwork had been done a week or so earlier so there was no fuss.

So now I'm the proud owner of a new Kawasaki ER6-F or a Ninja 650R, whatever you want to call it.

Big poot is a different plane of existance compared to little poot (Gilera DNA180) and I'm well happy. Hopefully off for a big ride this weekend, weather permitting.

So thanks to my boss for sugesting the thing in the first place. Big thanks to Glen Holden and Carl Ammundsen from Motorad for putting up with me and my rants and thanks to Kiwibiker for making the wait so much harder !

So give me a wave if you see me !

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking. Racing around to come up behind you again.

Nice bike, congrats on the licence! How did you fast track it though?
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Thanks everyone! It's so nice not having to fight a headwind anymore!

I sat on my learners for about 6 years, and applied for my restricted the day before it expired.

So once I had that, I had to wait 6 months to sit my full (over 25) which was reduced to 3 months after sitting a defensive driving course.

BTW, the course itself (4 2hr night classes) wasn't worth shit and dealt with teenage cage drivers and alot of hocus pocus jiggery pokery bs.

BUT, the practical that I got to sit with Andrew from Roadsafe on my bike was well worth it. Top bloke and very smart.

Cool bike mate, strange mix of old and new styles. At first glance the style of the frame and swingarm look very odd (especially right next to the petal rear disc and the molded peg mounts), but it grows on me the more I look at it.

Congrats, on the bike and the licence.
