Well done to you and to the coppa, it's nice to know that they are still out there and can be lenient when they think the situation warrants it. Good and lucky escape Ix.
So when are you holding your 'how to grovel' classes?

But - grateful though I am to a decent copper, I have to ask, what the HELL was he doing on SH27? What happened to the rule about traffic cops sticking to state highways with numbers less than 10? 27. that's NOT less than 10. Can't cops count? Not cricket , I reckon. Especially in a mufti car. Damn hard to spot a mufti coming toward you.
Be glad you weren't travelling in the Central/Eastern region then - you'd be unlikely to be able to walk even now!!
As for the cops not being able to count...he was probably being a clever c***, adding 2+7 and coming up with 9!!
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

The helmet mists up because there is no air flow through it to remove the warm, moisture air produced by breathing.

Applying any sort of closure to the helmet will only make that worse.

What I need is a way to induce flowing air into the helmet vent system, without disturbing the general airflow. I can, obviously, put the screen down, which fixes the misting, but then I get wet.
    Helmet gaitors have NACA ducts.

Seriously, buy a Shoei or Nolan with a pinlock visor = no more misting.

I heard a rumor that cops cant get an accurate speed reading while they are travelling? Is this true? In the old days the guns used to be hard enough to get an accurate reading while holding steady. Myabe that why you got off with a warning - he was just using his eye-dar?

I went past a coppa at 140, no hassles? (I wasnt aware I was going that fast and was just crusing- I saw him and thought I was doing 100, wasnt unitll I had gone past the coppa that I looked down at the speedo!)
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

    Some decents cops around.

I got pulled over, on my way to work for nightshift, at Ngaruawahia. I was just following a line of cars, when I saw some flashing lights behind me. Not certain it was for me, but I slowed down and pulled to the hard shoulder.

Sure enough, he stopped behind me. He asked did I know I was doing 70 in a 50 zone. I said "you've got to be kidding!", and he said no, did you know it was a 50 km zone. I said I knew but was sure I wasn't going that fast. Asked me for my licence - I rarely ever carry it, and certainly never had it this night.I thought bugger, two offences!

Asked where I was going, told him work and he said to treat this as a warning and be more careful. Told him I would be more careful and I was (grovel, grovel) much appreciative of getting a warning and not a ticket.

Only had one speeding ticket in 40 years but had several warnings. Maybe attitude does count. I try to be respectful but not subservient and definitely apologetic.

    Mwahahahaha!!!
True, the valves don't get fully warmed-up when travelling (something to do with wind-chill factor) so getting an accurate reading is a bit trickier, some now have a mini electric blanket to keep them up to temperature but the batteries go flat fairly quick when they're used.

Rumour is right... those .38 cal pistols were useless and yes, very inaccurate! We've got semi auto Glocks now, 17 shots to get it right....

The speed is as accurate as the cop says it is. Silly boy.

My understanding is that they can get readings on 2 vehicles heading toward them, plus 1 in front and 1 behind travelling in the same direction. So that is four vehicles at one time. They lock on real quick and as long as they have been calibrated are very accurate.
