I considered my post on it covered it nicely - you have to be down that road a bit to know what the 'best' action is - and it may not appeal to the other person so much but hey, I'm damn sure nobody is going to hang me out to dry because I 'ignore it' and get complaints from the public that I was not doing my duty.

If BuRns was truly doing a walking pace into the drive of the ball venue - the biggest problem I foresee is his dates dress getting caught in the chain.

You could hurt yourself more by running down the driveway to get the paper -or should we get the leathers and helmets out for that ?

Well you were lucky. 8 years ago I was labelled as stupid and unintelligible amongst other things. I cant imagine where I would be now if I had have listened to those people. At the end of the day he was just trying to do a nice thing, yeah he hadnt thought it through but I doubt he'd make the same mistake again.

or hes not flying cause hes a batty boy or hes motorcycle is a batty boy that flys and the chick was ugly or the chick was gay and hes a christian........

I've got no problem with the no-helmet in this situation. Not sure about the side sadlle though...

Way I see it is like this

Cop had three choices:

Leave you be. If you then do something stoopid or some one gets hurt, or some nosey plick complains then he gets "performance managed"
Suggests you don't do that and leaves it a t that
Gives you a ticket. And severely embarrasses you at your school ball....

Sounds like the cops actions were a good compromise. At least it wasn't #3 (or that he didn't breathalise you

).

Man it feels like I've typed this before somewhere....
