Metal Polishing in Auckland?

Needing a professional job done on mine and a mates 'two bros racing' pipes to get them back to mirror finish blingy-ness.

Anyone know of a good place in auckland (preferably on the north shore) that we can get it done?

Both pipes have some light surface damage that if possible we would like to get removed in the process.

I've been making a chopper and had various bits polished, wheels , handle bars, girder forks etc. and used Ace metal polishers in Otahuhu (Salesyard Rd) and found them to be cheap and did a good job. I did search around alittle bit as well and also being an engineer I asked many of the other companies we work with who they get any bits done and they all said the same.... Ace metal polishers Otahuhu.

Have a go yourself - it will cost you a couple of hundren bucks for a bench grinder and a rag wheel and cutting compound and it's not difficult just time consuming. The chrome platers are the experts but you can do it yourself.

didnt think about the bench grinder thing, might give that a go, just gotta find a buffer wheel that will fit the old mans old bench grinder i guess.

I used old socks and Autosol on my cbr250 pipe, just spent an afternoon in the sun polishing the pipe came up real nice, then some fuck nicked it!

Ace metal polishers are ok, but if you want a really good job the best guys in Auckland are probably Manukau Metal Polishers (in Penrose) I think the guys name there is Lance. They do a really really good job!.

I went to a "proper" tool shop but you can probably get a rag wheel from the toolshed or mega store. They make extension adaptor bits that bolt onto your bench grinder but I just used a couple of big washers and the original shaft. I also use the old rag and Autosol for the final buff up - good shit that Autosol.

Well, if I've heard some bloke by the name of "Try-stank" or something polishes poles, so you might try him.

Aywun metal polishers in henderson (8361410) are the best you will find. Ring and ask for Rowena. Have seen some amazing work from them. They do the best job anywhere and are stupidly cheap.

Dont use anything that runs at high rpm at home like bench grinders or the like unless you want your ali to look brown and wavy from the heat.

Best bet at home is autosol and a big tub of elbow grease.
