Ah I'll see how the rain goes, if it's not raining on saturday it should be ok you think? I've go to test the new pipe aye!!
Riverhead is clay. The water does not drain away at this time of year. It will be wet and muddy, no doubt about it. Don't wimp out!

Uh oh, we got trouble, my lower ring has a slight score/wear mark on it, I saw it when I had the exhaust off last night. it's worrying me a little bit. I might have to do another rebuild. Bloody 4th piston in a year! I'm getting a price on a new cyclinder now....... I got a quote of $350 to get mine replated and welded.

Should be good with all this rain, it will keep the tyres clear.

How was the ride? I ended up going for a quick blat at woodhill. My car broke down up there too. My new pipe was awesome! low end power is amazing now! so much easier to hit the whoops and keep the front end up and just bounce over them.

It was a grovel as expected. Good to do now and again though and I'll be back next year. Only 17 riders showed up. This was 1/35th of the number of riders on WMMC books. Guess theres alot of Saps out there huh?
Did one short lap and the rain water was running down the trails and there was alot of road on the short 25km lap. Bike came in almost clean.
Then headed straight out and did the longer 35km loop that had the harder bits on it. The rain died down and it got muddier. A lot of slower going and lots of tree roots and puddles. Came back extemely muddy. Only had one off though.
Thanks to the hardcore WMMC guys and gals that put on these events for us under such conditions. I appreciate your efforts
