    300kph Flying Quarter

For TS and Milky - as promised

Yes Lynda - that blurred bullet is Tony.

Things to bear in mind about this. It was fucken wet - and twice as windy - and he still hit 300 at the end of the flying quarter - bravo that man!

My home pc won't run the file, but if it was the wet/windy day, it would have been in late September last year, at the East/West Access road sprints in the Wairarapa. It was shit weather, they held off racing until the cross winds had died down somewhat, but they were still very strong.

Tony was on his GSXR1000. He now has a new 04 R1, a red one, and it's up for sale if anyone's interested.

Wkid_one: I'll try to run the file at work to have a look-see.

    Being frustrated is disagreeable.

To my knowledge, Tony has only done one flying quater on his Gixxer and the weather was fine.

All previous events, he rode his R1?

Nope - I was there - it was wet and windy - Tony carted the bike over in his ute...did a 300m rolling burn out to warm the tyre up - then blasted past at warp factor 9 - then did a manky arse mono on the way back to where everyone was passed. I have the pics and vid to prove it

    Nup, you are correct.

I was just being an argumentitive bastard as usual. My appologies.

Fucken madman that Samson character. Still, I got my revenge at Manfield when he twice got ejected from the seat of the thou trying to out run the baby Gixxer.

He decided discretion was the better part of valour and packed up after that session.

I keep trying to get him to come to Pukekohe for an open day, show the Aucklanders how a truw nutter rides but the timing's never right.
