Sheet - that motor is featured in about a zillion XR/XL's - you should be able to get a kick starter from a wreckers. Any XR/XL500/350/250 should fit. Those donks are hard to kill, too...

I thought it was just a cb250rs with off road tires, not a different model?

I do have the haynes workshop manual for the '80-'81.

Got mine last week btw, welcome to the club. I see there is another one on TM with a s=r of $500. Looked at getting yours for parts but it worked out too expensive, so I'm keeping an eye out local.

That motor was orginally in the XR/XL series, and I am pretty sure that most parts are common.

So you bought that one huh? I saw it and laughed... could be great fun though, manuals are easy to come by, we got one off trademe for the one I did up for a mate

GL it is a normal model with no headlight, kickstarter, shorter mufflers, and lotsa rust. Also off road tyres. Looks like fun though

ooo Can I grab the righthand front indicator if it's in good nick. That would eliminate a little more ductape.

The front tyre is an off road rear, only light that is still there is the brake light.

and it ended up costing me $480, $200 for the bike, $280 for the 108kph with a trailer. The way he acted, I knew he was aiming for his quota. Bastards.
