Hey guys, what kms per tank of gas do you get?
I'm meaning the bigger tank model, which I think is 02 onwards.
I realise they are'nt that great on gas but was curious as at the moment I'm just tootling around on the odd Sunday until I'm fit enough to get back into it more, but fuel gauge seems to drop fast to the last bar and when I put gas in, it does'nt take as much as I would think.
So I was kinda thinking of working off the speedo in kms per tank there abouts.
    Cheers.

I took mine round the south island start of this year and I was getting around 250-300kms cruising obviously less around town and in traffic. I know for a fact that if you take it easy once the last bar starts to flash you can do another 50kms! I almost ran out heading to greymouth from Fox Glacier!

I've got a dyno jet kit and original pipes have been opened up.

    Older VTR

Hey, I have the older model with the small tank. Between 160-180KM sees the red light on - pretty poor, its a bit better when touring, not much though. Have to be carefull on longer trips.
I love the smell of twin V16's in the morning..

I used to get about 230km before my last bar started flashing. I got 260 one day and didn't get close to running it out completely. That was on the '02 model with the 19L tank.

I've got the older model as well, if I ride around the speed limit I'll get about 180K,s
but who wants to ride a VTR like that, I normally fuel up every 150K,s chance to have a bit of a rest as well .

Hmm, I've only ever seen 160km's on mine once. Nice spirited riding will have the fuel light on in 110.
I think the phrase rhymes with "Clucking Bell" - Blackadder

110KM? That sounds pretty poor even for a VTR road riding anyway - you running standard jets?

No, 110km is true. I trashed a tank in 95km at a track day.
