Oouuu...this is going to be interesting...who's got the popcorn???![]()
Bang on! You think you made a complaint to the cops about abuse of power and they give the guy a warning and a pay cut? More like a good laugh at the cop bar with all the confiscated booze!
Think of why there are 2+ cars out most rides, cos a COP living on the route is pissed off at the loud pipes while he's kickin' back with no other vices to keep him entertained! There have been 20+ break-in's at the same time on the same day of the week in our area which consists of only a few streets and there are no cops staking that out. They are a company in business, there must be some perks to having such a shit job and dealing with scum daily on rotating shifts for average pay. We just live (ride?) on the wrong side of the perk!
I'm selling my new riding gear!! Only worn a few times get a deal Kiwibikers!!

Never let your enemy see your emotions, for it is the one weapon they will value most.
You're confusing accountability for justice. Accountability being the process by which you are caught and correctly identified as being the offender (of whatever you did).
Justice is the process of meting out the appropriate punishment. I (personally) think this is where the problem is. If there is an abuse of power then those abusing it deserve a more sever punishment because of their privileged position/higher office.
My fundamental point in this while argument is this... if someone did the crime - they deserve the time. People can quite rightly complain about a cop using illegal tactics to catch them or do whatever... but if they were ticketed for speeding... and they WERE speeding... they get no sympathy from me.

Ok - I can't figure this out for myself... so spell it out (for the record... I'm being serious - please spell it out). Why should the cops police one law and not others?
Try to avoid name calling too - it belittles any argument.
Yes - and I'll happily defend myself afterwards should there be any repercussions. I'm simply suggesting you do the same - assuming you think you have a defensible position
Again names - but that one was more justified...
Agreed - that's how Nazi Germany ended up the way it did. Not a good thing. Small point though - I never told you to shut up... simply sort your shit out.
Me too
Ok hang on - on one hand I hear you arguing the cops should be held accountable for trangressions (agreed)... which sounds like a "one law for all" approach
But then I hear you saying some laws should be ignored.
Which is it?

Final warning re this thread, else it will be merged with the discussion thread and left to its own devices.
Keystone there are pages and pages of drivel and non topic related stuff in here.
This is the umpteenth thread that we have tried to keep on track for the reason you are requesting... it does not seem to be happening. No thread should need constant monitoring by a mod.
I am not sure why people cant keep the discussions to the discussion thread and use this one as a resource.
