Cool Help - I want a new Can

I have a 2003 GSXF750 and I want to personalise it and also get some good sounds.
Dangerous put a question out there about Microns - he says for his mate with the Busa - but that is my husband and he has to wait inline!!! It is my turn to do things to my bike!!!

I want a nice sound and a good look. I don't want a high pitched scream and I don't need a truck load of extra preformance.

Can any one give me any ideas of what I should be looking into?

Two Brothers, nd Yoshimura tend to have a good deep sound as well as being loud...... But you can also check out Micron, Remus, Arrow, Neptune......and im sure there are a few others.....

All of them will create a power increase, of about 5-15hp, if your bike is carbed (not sure weather the GSX750F is ) i would get you carbs rejetted for better delivery of your new power, otherwise get the chip reprogrammed (people please correct me if im wrong)

Hope that gets some names in your head
See Robert Taylor for any Ohlins requirements www.northwest.co.nz
    Thanks Colemans Suzuki
    Thanks AMCC
I use DID Chains and Akrapovic Exhausts

I'm with Jim2 on this one - give Mark a call or have a look-see at his website - www.neptunemufflers.co.nz - he's done three of our bikes, and is booked to do my new Duc once I've clocked up a few kms on it.

I got a Micron on my CBR600 & love the sound - nice, deep, burbly sound and doesn't do the screaming thing at higher revs either, which means no headaches.

I didn't need to rejet at all, but it's probably worth getting a dyno run before and after fitting just to be sure.

i was a cheap bastard, and just modifyed the inside of my standard pipe, and got rid of the 3 inner chambers, so now its a straight thru pipe, and still looks standard, we had a few problems here in tauranga with cops and exhusts on bikes

When I bought my Storm, it had been "bafflectomied and was VERY loud (EVERYONE turned around to see what was coming down the street).
I had some plugs made up which make it look like standard, and just tweaked these until it had the right sound - louder than stock, but not so loud as to attract attention. It lost a few HP in the process, but it still wheelies off the throttle, so who cares.

If I were you, I'd go with the Neptune, mainly because they're NZ made (Yeah! Support NZ!), and if you have problems later with it being too loud for a WOF or roadside test, you should be able to get it modded easily to be legal again.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I love my Kerker (beautiful noise) but it's damaged and the last remaining item needing repair from my off back in January. It doesn't look like I can get another one (shame) so I too am in the market for a nice horny can for the Zrex. Don't want anything shiny but...

    My thoughts

Yoshi - do a nice Zook Pipe
2 Bros - nice sound - quality is sus (Had on VTR)
Arrows - nice pipe but pricey
Akropovic - sexiest kit around - hellishly pricey tho
Micron - bloody good pipe for the money (had on my R1 - nice sound too)
Scorpian - nice lower end pipes - good sound
    Neptune - good pipes.

Yeah i been trying to talk the misses in to doin gthe 'battletomy' on her vtr1000f be she dones't want to.

removing the chambers from my bike, has made it a little loud but not to bad, you can't really hear it over the wind at 120km/h so thats fine, loud enough so people can hear you in town, which what i was aim for, since i already had someone not see me, how to you miss a bright yellow bike, with bright yellow leathers.

how if you want loud pipe you should hear our bandit 600 thats just insane, its just a standard kerker slip on pipe but its loud as hell.

    Cool New Pipe

Thanks guys - you've given me a few to think about.

Priced up a Neptune - but they don't make one specifically for my bike. I willdefinitely check out the Neptune and I will also look at the Kerkers - hubbie has had a couple and they always sound nice without being in your face!

Dangerouse - you know I don't like beer - why would I want a beer can on the bike???

Suzi Q- Also kerker is a good sounding pipe. I brought my V&H in from US- brought it in around 300 US- way cheaper than the local dealers!
