    Cop car lane splitting

Going to work this morning in my cage on the north western mway between waterview and western springs and heard a cop coming. It was a bike, and was on the left hand shoulder, lights, siren and doing it safely. Not too fast.

Couple of minutes later another siren. Check the mirror and he/she? was lane splitting between lanes 2 & 3 in a commodore (sp?)

Cages going in all directions, including me!

I saw a police bike the other day lights on weaving in and out of traffic, he/she was between northcote and the bridge heading to the city. the traffic wasnt going fast but the bike was going for it, again closely followed by a car with lights and siren going.

My favourite has to be the Armed Offenders Nissan Safari(from wellington central) carving up the traffic, funniest thing was a mufti cop sitting in front and the black safari right up its ass till they moved - then the mufti turned on his lights and joined in, man the safari was going over traffic islands and all to get through the traffic

clearly u don't get out much or are like most Jaffas and can only see 2 metres in front of ya nose. This is how the motorway guys have to get to jobs in a hurry and have been doing it for years.

drive on the safety shoulder and get a flat tyre.

of course if someone changes lane in front of the cop and they have a crash. I woud say the perso who changed lanes is at fault for a unsafe lane change

Couple days ago, saw a marked police unit with siren and flashing lights driving quickly down the medium lane between two lanes of traffic heading in opposite directions. Suddenly cars went in all sorts of directions ... pedestrian island was in the way and the police car wasn't too keen to run it down.

Those islands do get taken out on a frequent basis by somebody.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.
