I just got my AA insurance confirmation in the mail today, its $528.57 for my ride with a $300 excess, which is the comprehensive cover. The stupid thing about this is, when I tried to get it at first - they turned me down so I went through my parent's AA policy and lo, all was right with the world. Go figger!

Hi its shazzygirl here. Just adding something to your post here about your insurance. Through the internet today I got insurance on my new bike, a 06 VT Shadow, 750 from ebike insurance for $533/pa. I am over 40 years so it must have something to do with the age of the insurer and the fact that we have had our licences for years!

To drag up a long isnce dead thread, i just 1 min ago insured my gsxr 600 with state for 12500, and they gave me a $680 premium with 2k excess on me and theft. Happy with the premium, but excess is a bit heavy...however i have only had my full about 3 hours. Might have try that classic crowd...
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

try www.kiwibike.co.nz, you can also get your motorbike gear covered through them to
Second that. Ring 'em up and talk to Dave or Donna.

You might want to grill them about prices/excesses etc, but the service they'll provide you is superb.

Yeah, but they were/are a joke. I would ride without insurance rather than pay what they want.
