    Shane Solomon

Shane Solomon from Motorcycle Trader seems to have a pretty good job, and I'm sure he has access to plenty of good gear. Why doesn't he wear it when he's reviewing a bike? Hanging off the side of the VFR in jeans and running shoes??? (see the magazine for those pix) Pretty amatuer really. Getting closing to posing more like it.

yup, when i saw the sneakers i thought what a pecker, but i thought the editor was an even bigger pecker, not only for lettin the shots of this guy in poor riding apparell in his publication, but also for the very poor action shots that his holyness has of himself in many an issue

Dont care what he wears, its his skin. The image he portrays though is not the best for young impresionable minds.

Whats next, telling him what sort of bike he can or cannot ride? We are responsible for ourselves and no one else. However in saying that, he could act as some sort of role model. Although if ya have your head screwed on the right way, it should not be needed...

solomon obviously doesn't own a pair of boots - testing the hyo 250 this month in sneakers again. not mention the shots look like they have been taken with some pace on, in what appears to be a within town (ie 50k) area. he looks like a clown. an unprofessional clown at that.

i'm all for personal choice, and often ride my scooter with shorts and t-shirt, however being photographed testing a bike, for a national publication, commands some adherance to basic safety compliance

What a git, he is effectively a proffesional rider and representitive for the industry. I know how much I scanned my bike magazines when I was young, took everything in. Wont buy another trader until he gets a clue.
