im always cautious at intersections when splitting, especially roundabouts. On the motorway im looking ahead at indicators and brakes aswell as the gap to see whos trying to do what im my path ahead.

Dickhead cagers need to remember to indicate for 3 seconds before turning, not indicating as they turn, or turning then indicating. Dont have any problems with traffic otherwise. If a cager has started indicating before i get to them i'll stop or slow down enough to let them across rather trying to shoot the gap as they move over.

I learnt how hard it is to see splitting bikes on the motorway from a cage when my R6 was in the shop, i always checked twice to see if there were bikes coming but there was still one occasion where the guy appeared out of no where and had luckily either anticipated my move or seen my indicator and stopped just in time, i didnt see him til i was half way into the other lane.

Just go by the rule that NO OTHER ROAD USER HAS SEEN YOU and act accordingly to the situation, if you dont feel safe dont do it - thats your best defence mechanism.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Dickhead cagers just need to learn how to indicate fullstop.

It's one of my bugbears, not indicating.

I was just setting myself up to go past a cage yesterday until I noticed her talking on the cell with the right hand whilst guestering in the air with the other. It's bad enough that they don't concentrate due to talking on a cell, but driving with no hands on the wheel in heavy rush hour traffic.
Quick change of tactic. Stayed behind until a nice big gap opened up and gave her 'LOTS OF ROOM'.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker
