Yeah, I bumped into Shane on Sunday on his Husky, and he gave me a quick run down, it sounded great.

I just just purchased another whole DR250, with 2 motors, one of which is a runner. This means two electrical systems too, which means I will most likely start a new fix up thread for the second DR. The bike is in New Plymouth, so I won't see it till next week some time, but it should see the DR finally finished, but a new project begin with the whole spare bike I will be getting. Oh great they cried, another shitbox DR fix up thread....... woohoo.

I got the whole lot for 240 bux, which as I said, is a whole bike with a rebuilt motor, and a spare motor. I laughed when i saw the picture on trademe, the front wheel was on the wrong way, and turned 180 degrees as well.

So, to summarise, DR to be finished the weekend of the 25th Nov, but new DR thread to emerge as well. I will do things a bit differently on the next DR though.

    Great news Kro.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

What sort of things are you looking at doing different? It's a slippery slope you know now that you've got the project bike bug.

Talking of which I saw this on TradeMe. It's even in my city. Would make a great project and would be a fun ride for when the sons get their first motorcycles and I can take them out to the forrest. The CRM really doesn't like puttering at <10kph, it finds it humiliating.

That beta would be cool Lemur, but I know what you mean, you have to show some restraint, less you wind up with a garage full of hardware. Hang on, what's the problem with that?.....

The things I will do differently on the next DR, is to not drag the damn project out so long, and to maybe not get so anal about some of the smaller things, but having said that, I am pretty anal (just ask zerax), and I can see me getting carried away again.

This will take the bike count to 5 in my 2 car garage, and the engine count to 8, 5 of which will be DR engines.

And how many of those are running?

Err, none of the 3 engines I have now would run for more than 1 month without dieing of death rattle disease. This however will change, like my underpants.

I've paid for half of Jamezo's bike. Hopefully I'll be able to bring it home soon and start stripping it down

My undies are a forensic scientist's wet dream, the rattling is just the icing on the cake so to speak.

Kro, I wouldn't call it a fix up thread more of a pointless rambling thread.

Do a search for 'bucket update'
