Bike chased at midday in Ch today?

Sitting at my desk in our Lichfield St office today at 11.54 am when we heard a bike tear past followed a few seconds later by a police car with sirens blaring. Within a minute another couple of police cars followed at speed, lights and sirens doing their thing. Anyone know anything? None of us were quick enough to see the bike.

I thought it was earlier than that?

I went home sick at about 11, and a guy came up behind me. I wasn't feeling great so I pulled to the side, waved him past and he roared past me lifting the frount... Red bike, sounded like a litre bike, twin low exhasts, looked like a honda (ya know, big curves) but I'm pretty sure I saw the letters RF. But I'm not an expert.

I turned off a bit further up but heard the sirens.

Damn lucky the cops didn't stop me because I was on a red motorcycle too. I might have actually helped give him a chance to get away.. not that I condone that.

Looking at pics, I'm positive it was a VTR1000
    A red one.

Does that help us identify the rider?
