Probably this topic has been discussed before but here goes anyway...
Does anyone know if there is somewhere a person can go to for performance riding training? Not beginner level, and not for highly skilled racers but somewhere in the middle. Say aimed at improving braking, cornering skills for track days etc. Perhaps teaching you how best to use the rear brake, throttle control etc for best weight distribution, weighting the footpegs, counter-steering, getting the knee down....maybe including help with bike set-up?
I've done some Tracktime days which are great, but they don't actually offer any coaching as such (well a very basic level braking school is all) And I'm slow...and I want to be faster....
Is it something that a few KBers could organise perhaps? Hire out Pukekohe or Taupo for a day, get a few experienced racers there?? Wouldn't need to be Andrew Stroud but just good seasoned riders with skills to share. I'd personally be really interested in participating. Tracktime days cost $130 odd and a good day's coaching is worth that and more to me, and if there were a decent number it would possibly work. Just a thought. I'd be prepared to help with organising it if I could be of any use....
Anybody got any ideas or comments?
