Hey Jared how did you end up going in robotics?

My CBR got nicked there as well middle of the day hundreds of witness's, well people out and about on symonds st but no one saw it. Reported to the cops like they care and never hearrd anything back.

Alex!! Hows it mate? Forum whore! lol nice!. Yeah Im not getting my hopes up, but figured worth a shot to try this. Its pretty common on Symonds street - I think one guy is stealing one a week or something cos I keep hearing reports.

Robotics was good A-. I was pleased considering all the competition in our class.

I think only protection is a big chain through wheels & alarm.
I was stupid, forgot to engage my steering lock. I wont make same mistake next time :/

what sorta gear do you wear helmet/jacket wise, just incase i find it i dont want to be beating you to a pulp after just getting your bike back.

That sucks man - now I'm feeling little paranoid about my ride! Hope karma gives restitution where its due and you get a ride back soon. No insurance? Or the claim taking its time?

I think the small chain I got isn't enough now ... may need to invest in some more anti-theft devices!

gareth - haha yeah. He stole my helmet too the bastard! with its sleek black visor.grr.. It was attached the the side of the bike. If I get it back I'll post on here again. Thing is he'll prolly just toss the helmet.

gijoe - yeah I would definately invest in some. something to make it difficult for them, especially if its not a run of the mill bike.

Another idea is to follow the rat bike movement and have the bike looking like crap, hey so far its worked for me.

    1 Mint condition CBR stolen
1 Less than good cosmetically NC30 not stolen

    Good idea.
    We should bait them!
Its a CHRONIC problem on Symonds Street. I bet if we caught the bastards it would stop.

Need a Ducati 999i volunteers anyone? (Preferably with GPS tracking unit installed)

I presume you did report this to the cops, they`ll put the chassis number on to the computer system which all the bike shops use, bike wont be able to go in for any work without getting picked up. sadly though it will have problery changed hands by then and the new 'owner' will be the one to lose out, you`ll get the bike back, and thieven bastage gets away. Sounds like a real problem up there in auckland. I like the sound of that bait idea, but id be thinking more like 10.000 volts hooked upto wires under the grips. that`d sort him out!
