Sounds like a real problem up there in auckland. I like the sound of that bait idea, but id be thinking more like 10.000 volts hooked upto wires under the grips. that`d sort him out!
You reckon? I dont think I have seen anyone checking on my chassis number anytime it has gone in to the shop.

Yeah for sure, at the shop i work at they check out all bikes which havnt been in before, if you go to the same shop no doubt they have your details on computer and know that you own that bike. online warrant of fitness checks certainly require chassis number, however i suppose they could do the old chassis number swap, off a writen off bike.

    Dude,

All bad and it never happens at a convenient time. I got a call a few years back that someone close had passed away, went to my bike , pissing down rain and the perps had mangled my ingnition, no key fit = no noise, had to leave it. All this in downtown Aucks on the side of the road in the afternoon.

Second Bike was clean nicked from outside on a Sunday arvo leaving me stranded in Pahiatua, excellent. Cops found it a few months later. The pr*ck that nicked it had butchered it to alter the appearance yet still had the number plate on it....genius. I was still paying that sucker off and had no insurance.

Check out cycle wreckers, guys selling parts as well if you havent already.
