Well the 14 has 25 - 30% more torque to pull different gearing. If you geared it down, you'd be filling the thing every 100 k's. The fact is that, as bikes off the showroom floor, the 14 is not much quicker, if at all. Once you start changing spec, it's a whole different ball game.

Aren't all these bikes restricted by the big 4 to 300K top speed despite the engines potential, and the real characteristics of these engines are libereated by the art of the fettle.

    Bike mags

I read BIKE or TWO. Both are English and thus heavily favour sports bikes.

If you allow for the bias they can be very informative. I think both have former top roadracers on their testing teams (Niall McKenzie and Jamie Whitam).

If you buy one BIKE keep it for the comments re every model sold in Britain toward the back of the mag.

Point against: neither mag is cheap...

It looks like the 14 only comes into it's own at high speed.
There's only a few tenths difference where we normally ride.
The next 'Busa will kill it. (If they keep the low down grunt)

Which is suprising considering the aero's of the Busa which are some of the best in the business.

yeah the write up in latest esp of superbike of the above test as given the winner of the 14, of them, they said it was a hard choice, it wasn't like the 14 stomped the other two,

I am acutally very dispointed in reading that the 14 takes longer to stop at same speeds compared to the busa, i mean busa as 6 pot capliers, with the 14 with radial mounted mc, as well as calapers as well as some wavy discs
