I'm relatively new, and I find that by using 6 or 7 different lines through the same corner I can maximise the experience I get.

I agree as to my responsibility when passing, but I waited behind for a while,he knew I was there, he was a mobile chicane.
I dont carve people up I normally give plenty of room.
And no that wasnt me in the photo, that was the other 999 out there today.
    Very common bikes .

Ha ha ha - you would be one of the LAST riders I know that would carve other riders up..... in fact there are more than one or two occasions where i have been grateful for the respect (and space!!!) that you give other riders ...

COMMON???? I don't think so we should all be so lucky

OK so you'd either gone or hadn't got there when I took the photo.

Spent my day learning and learning ... puttered around the back blocks of Takanini and binned on a corner. Rode some more, took pictures of my learning "curve" and went home to clean up and fix my machine!

Good pics as always Merv. Thanks for coming over and saying hello. Although I think your camera adds a few pounds - I'm much slimmer in the flesh you know. Maybe it's the fit of those new leathers?
So many bikes out at every stop today it was hard to remember who was who.
I tried to cover most corners of why-wrap-ha today out riding. I can confirm that the wind farm road is cleaned up after the slips. The water tower still has some dust to clear on a few corners.
Yes the sound of the MV at full song as it blows pass stirred the soul. We did some time and motion economy fuel saver trials, 0 to 100kph runs... Say no more.
Fancy two red 999s in the same place at the same time. The one in Merv's photo was taken as we headed off back to Martinborough, where we parked up next Masterchop's 999. Call that common. Well then I was riding with another 06 black 636 two hours earlier - now what are the chances of that happening! All such rare and flash machines.
    Great day for a ride.

From The Hutt, over the Haywards, over Paekak Hill, to Te Horo to see a couple of old mates. Carried on a bit, leaning left the whole way, to Himatangi and stopped at Sparkies Bar for a beer. Met some good people there. Then back the way I came, leaning to the right the whole way, a quick pit stop in Waikanae to see another mate, then attempted to deafen the Sunday night traffic snake all the way back home.
They couldn't make those double yellow lines any rougher to ride on with their rumble strip bullshit could they?
What little warmth there was in the air disappeared immediately after the sun went down.

Good weekend for sure, In amongst packing up for the house sale, I managed to sneak out onto my bike for 20 minutes. Rode from Naenae down to Petone and back. What a blast!
I was testing out the new velocity stacks I'd fitted the night before.
I used to be able to hold the font end down just...... Now, I can't, the extra HP has the edge on me - Time for a few more Makatu pies.
Otherwise I'll just go over to Fatjims for a feed, then I'll be sweet!

My excuse is it was a cool day and I put an extra thermal layer on making me look fatter.
    Cheers
