Or, at least on my bike, have the gearbox in neutral. How about the neutral switch?

Where did you get those pics from? they have minor differance with my actual circuts...

In my haynes book it says it only has one diode but infact it has 3.....

More probably it's your neutral switch is OS. Neutral switch and clutch switch are in parallel - so you can start the bike EITHER - in neutral OR in gear with clutch disengaged. I'm guessing before you started it in neutral. Now neutral switch broke (or maybe liuttle light bulb not work?) so the only way is with clutch out (in neutral or in gear).

is your neutral light lighting up when it's in neutral?....it's basically part of the circuit so you don't wind the starter in gear with the clutch out or else you may look a bit silly,

so they make it so that the clutch must be in if it thinks it's in gear...if your neatral light isn't working / doesn't know when it's in neutral the bike must have clutch pulled in as it thinks it's in gear....basically safety features.....

if you can live with it not starting without clutch in sweet as but otherwise refer to the manual and find out where the neutral position sender is.....if your neatral light isn't coming on , the wire may have just come off ...it will probably be by the sprocket cover somewhere genrally but check your manual

hope you can make some sense out of that i suck at wording stuff

Ok, I dont have time to play around with the switches now, but the nutreal light is working.
