Puke: You brake it, you pay for it.

Didn't know that. Some Asian dude in his Honda civic looking cage (I assume, then what do I know) smacked into the inside armco today at the start of the front straight, snapping about 10 posts. One of the track guys says he'll be charged several thousand dollars to have it repaired. He didn't look very happy about that.

Also got the gixxer over 280kph down the back straight. shit, the faster they go, the more work it takes to ride'em around the track.

I'd tell those fuckers at Puke to get fucked. thats why you pay the money to ride there. What next, charge you for tarmac erosion.

    Thats for drifters only...

Knew about this for a while... Its mainly due to the huge costs of repairing the barriers...

Personally i would like to thank the Asian that crashed and took out the armco, and im hoping that he doesnt pay so that they dont fix it and when i crash again i dont hit it...

Yup, there's too many barriers at puke if you ask me.

I am sure you sign an indemnity form ....... which swings both ways ..... if they sue him .... he should counter sue .... cause if it was not there he would not have hit it ..... he should sue for damage to his car.....

In the last session of the day a white Porsche went into that same barrier in the same place, back end first. Pretty munted, but may have been worse if the barrier hadn't been damaged earlier!

So do they share the repair cost?

The Nurburgring's the same - only slightly worse. Crash, damage the armco, and cause the circuit to be closed and you're charged not only for the armco repair but also for the loss of takings while the track's closed

You really have a circuit called Puke?? lol
What a difference indifference can make

    I got the 636 bouncing off the limiter in 6th @ 287..
scary fast tho. should really do it again.

shit, didn't you if ya break it ya bought it.. what about during a race?
I remember watching the truck racing a few years back, a rig lost the rear coming over the crest, drifted across the track at a good pace (no idea what), then smacked face first into the barrier just under the bridge. Hit it with such force, it came to rest upside down, in the pit lane. Truck was a write off, track was a mess, amco was mangled tinfoil.. yup, a mess.

At least on bikes, the chances of us breaking something like amco or pillars is pretty slim. And if we do, the payment of the amco is the last thing to worry about

And FatTony, you don't say it puke btw, it's pronounced puk-e-koh-e, so it just gets shortened to puk-e. Whakapapa however, when 'Wh' is pronounced 'f', is just careless naming of towns

Just as Waiuku is pronounced why-ook (as in Why did you read that book) and Te Kuiti is pronounced Teek-a-witty. You have a whole new linguistic world awaiting you. Think the Welch are bad ? - just wait. (The Welch are still to blame for everything, of course)
