Rode down to the servo so I dont have to fill up on the way to work tomorrow, and then home via eastborne and the river road.

    Sunday rides

Went up to Awakino for a couple of whitebait fritters & had a play with a keen RX8 on the way back. Then later this afternoon had a cruise around the hill with Jamo on his ST1100 (pic).

I went for a blast down to westport from nelson and back. nice ride, no grit although the buller gorge was a bit wet & slippery. I only saw one cop, He gave me a knowing wave, must've seen the nose dive.

Now that picture on your thread is just wonderful, and what a pleasure to ride in Godzone.

    Heads Up and Enjoy

trip over the divi with zeroindex and teflon yesterday. .. then today just a quick blat byself around the north waikato.
filled up at Whatawhata so I don't have to tomorrow, and saw 3 groups headed in different directions.
A gsxr6 headed north (blue) looked like he was breaking away from a pack. A classic duc (female rider) single seater, with another newer duc headed to raglan (filling at the gas station same time as me), and coupe of cruisers headed south ...
    t'was the day for it

I went to the Motocross at Mercer today,up the east side of SH22,and down the west side, getting in a bit of gravel to keep me happy.I was hot at home, but soon cooled off on the road....still pretty cold out there.Wet and dry roads in the morning, with wet patches in the shade even in the afternoon. All in all a great day to be on a bike.

Bull - I walked all around there for 4 hours - you've got some young crumpet on the side of something - cause you were not at the motocross.

I'm uploading some pics of the day now. - lots of crowd shots - nada motu.

This Has Got To Be The Luck Country For Bike Riding

As you will see by my profile, I aim to cover some ground over the next few years. Hasn't this got to be the best country to ride?

Had a quick look at the Motocross yesterday as well! A great turnout and very good location right next to SH1. Hopefully it drew lots of spectators throughout the event.

Coming over the top of the Bombays I passed a stationwagon with a white poodle in the back looking around. Then I realised that this "poodle" was a pet LAMB on an outing!
(and me without any mint sauce...)

Today the chain needed warming up prior to the applicant of lubricant... so "around the block" became a run up Old Nth...

Loads of bikes out. Lots of waves and nods... You just have to grin! No cagers wave except if there is a kid in the back!

    A great weekend.

Did an early morning ride from City to Takanini. Day was just beautiful - fixed up the hidey hole for my ride and then rode out to visit friends! Went via Alfriston, Botany and saw other bikers out on a nice Sunday ride (just like me!) Visited a couple of friends in Pakaranga and Remmers, all marvelling and shaking their head at my Hornet (they are all cagers). Rode home taking the long way back around 6.30pm via Remmers, Penrose, Mangere, Manuwera. No traffic, visor up and puttering at legal road speed all the way. Bloody marvellous!

Great to hear the other rides people have been up to!
